Rockport, Maine has been home for Anne Kilham and her family since 1972. She started her business with handprinted block print notes and postcards that she sold by retail mail order and to local shops. Eventually she moved on to watercolors that capture images of the coast and the islands, inland mountains and lakes, and of course flower gardens. Over the years she has been active in town affairs serving on various committees including Conservation, Compre hensive Plan and others. Anne has been honored by the town for her contributions including providing the cover art for the annual Town Report since 1980.

Anne was born in Santa Fe, NM in 1937 and grew up on a farm in eastern Massachusetts. She comes from a family of creative people: artists, architects, engineers and inventors. Many were willing to offer encouragement and criticisms. Teachers at Putney School, Colorado College and Rhode Island School of Design were influential also.

She lives in a renovated 1842 Cape that overlooks her large field and a farm pond. Various forms of wildlife seen regularly include deer, foxes and herons…and once a young moose that settled down in the sun to take a nap!

For more than thirty years, we at Pen & Inc. of Concord, New Hampshire have been Anne’s publisher and marketer. We appreciate your continued support and welcome any suggestions you might have.
